Music Lineup

Hollyy * Friday, 7:30pm – 9:30pm

Lauded as “the future of retro rock” (CLASH Mag), Chicago-based Hollyy masterfully imparts a sound both grounded in youth and transcendent of it. Since the band’s inception in March 2020, this group of self-proclaimed “garage-soul boys” has released a collection of breezy singles as well as their debut EP, Miss the Feeling.
Flaunting a signature combination of stirring vocals, jazzy instrumentals, and indie rock stylings, its no surprise that Hollyy has been likened “to such modern soul powerhouses like St. Paul and the Broken Bones” (Atwood Magazine). Aside from headlining their own live shows, Hollyy has opened for several prominent artists, including Jacob Banks and Gwen Stefani. In 2021 they also recorded an Audiotree Live session and began work on their second EP, If You’re Ever Lost.
Hollyy features the talents of Tanner Bednar (vocals), Brandon Couture (guitar), Peter Giere (keyboard), Rafe Soto (drums), and Dominic Zeier (bass). And as American Songwriter puts it, “even the sharpest nose won’t find anything manufactured about their talent. They’re the real deal.”

Dennis Caravello * Saturday, 3:00pm – 5:00pm

Dennis Caravello has a sound steeped in roots music and while his approach to songwriting stays true to most things modern, it is the music of yesterday that continues to fuel his craft. Dennis was born and raised just northwest of Chicago and now resides in Nashville, Tennessee.
Growing up, Dennis took to music rather quickly. At the age of six he’d taken up guitar lessons and has since had trouble spending much time away from the instrument. As he neared the end of his days as a student at Rolling Meadows High School, he would be reintroduced to the blues and it has since had the greatest influence on his playing. Dennis attended Columbia College Chicago for two years where his love for blues, jazz, country and soul music continued to grow. In 2013 he chose to take a step away from school to take a deeper dive into song craft.
After spending a handful of years performing in and around Chicago and its surrounding suburbs, Dennis decided to relocate to Nashville in the summer of 2018. In March of 2019, “The Way It Is”, his first full-length body of work, was released independently. The record was cut over the course of three days in August of 2018 and produced by Evan Pinter.

The Zach Pietrini Band * Saturday, 7:30pm – 9:00pm

Zach Pietrini’s Midwestern, indie americana songwriting aesthetic is the sonic embodiment of a well-worn denim jacket. At the forefront of the Americana resurgence, Pietrini—lead vocalist and guitarist for his namesake band—takes an everyman’s approach to the genre with a knack for honest storytelling and a wistfulness that comes across in both the music and lyrics. The band takes its cues from Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen, and David Ramirez, reinterpreting and rejuvenating American roots styles through a contemporary lens. Pietrini’s songs “situate him at the confluence of all that an urban Millennial audience finds relatable” (Milwaukee Magazine), performing old-soul themes of ennui, regret, disappointment, and nostalgia with a modern twist.
Pietrini came up on the Chicago music scene before moving to Milwaukee, where he honed his signature “foot-tapping and pensive steel-guitar-driven” style (Milwaukee Magazine), making regular appearances at Summerfest, Mile of Music, Bastille Days, and other festivals. The band has also toured prolifically throughout the United States, including opening for Huey Lewis and the News (5,000 in attendance) and playing SXSW, returning home often to play at local venues like Anodyne and Colectivo Backroom as well as house shows in living rooms around Milwaukee.
Pietrini’s dynamic live performances are intimate, yet high-energy, and his “beguiling friendliness” (88Nine), “nearly confounding” versatility (Shepherd Express), and laid-back stage presence bring a very Wisconsin sense of Gemütlichkeit to his shows. Voted Best Live Act in Milwaukee by Milwaukee Magazine and regularly in the running for Best Band in Milwaukee by 88Nine, The Zach Pietrini Band is preparing for its 9th release in 2022- Rock & Roll is Dead, and will be hitting the road late September.
